Given the therapeutic effects of our thermal waters, we advise you to consult our medical team before using the baths or enjoying the spa.

Safety precautions
Before using our facilities, we strongly recommend that you seek medical advice if you suffer from any of the following conditions:
- Acute and chronic illnesses

- Vascular conditions
Pregnancy and children
- Our thermal baths are not recommended for the first three months of pregnancy.
- Children under the age of 11 are not permitted to bathe in the thermal water due to the stress it can put on their cardiovascular system.

Our thermal baths
Health from the depths of the earth
Our thermal springs are warmed by the volcanic systems found underneath the island of Ischia, the largest island in the Gulf of Naples.
The thermal water at Poseidon Gardens emerges from the ground at temperatures ranging between 25° and 85° C.
Pure water, fresh daily
Our thermal pools are completely emptied every evening, thoroughly cleaned, and refilled in the early hours of the morning with natural thermal spring water without any chemical additives.
During bathing hours, the pools are continuously filled with fresh spring water.
We also do regular and rigorous laboratory testing on our thermal water to guarantee its purity.
Composition of the thermal water
Our thermal water contains a variety of salts, bromine, iodine, alkalis, and sulphates. There are also traces of calcium, magnesium and lithium.
The rare noble gas radon is particularly beneficial. It is slightly radioactive, stimulates cell renewal, and has proven healing, pain-relieving, and anti-inflammatory effects.
The healing effects of Poseidon’s water
The proven medicinal benefits of Poseidon’s thermal water include:
- Positive effects on the skeletal system (arthrosis, spinal pain syndromes, myalgia, tendonitis)
- The promotion of healing after fractures and partial paralysis
- Relief from chronic respiratory problems
- Relief for gynaecological problems
- Positive effects on dermatological conditions (psoriasis, neurodermatitis, eczema, acne) in combination with thalassotherapy or heliotherapy.
- An improvement in skin elasticity and a reduction of cellulite
Hydrotherapy facilities
Poseidon Gardens has a variety of hydrotherapy facilities available for guests.
In our Aphrodite pool (32°), adjustable massage jets activate reflex zones and relax muscles. Air jets and waterfalls stimulate your body and promote blood circulation.
The Japanese treading pool features different sized river rocks for you to walk over, stimulating circulation in your legs and feet while strengthening your blood vessels and inhibiting infections.
Strengthen your immune system in our natural steam grotto or by taking alternating temperature baths between 40° and 15° pools (Kneipp baths). Finish each spa session with a cool down in the 15° pool and take time to rest and recuperate.
Additional activities
As well as enjoying a thermal spa treatment and accompanying medicinal treatments, there are a number of other activities that you can do for your own health at Poseidon Gardens:
- Use our hydrotherapy facilities to boost your circulation and immune system.
- Take part in our free aqua aerobics class every morning at 10:00 am to improve your flexibility and activate your cardiovascular system.
- Swim in the crystal-clear waters of our long sandy beach, which is not only good for your overall fitness, but also good for your skin.
- Moderate sun bathing can boost your immune system and stimulate the production of vitamin D in your skin.

Compositions of wild nature and colour-coordinated foliage, sometimes flowing, sometimes highly structured, create a work of art – lovingly tended by our team of gardeners.
For plant protection, we only use natural biological agents such as nettle slurry, nettle broth or ladybird larvae.

On our exclusive private terraces, you can spend time alone with friends or family and enjoy the peaceful and idyllic atmosphere of the park, all while being pampered with food and drink made to order by our in-house restaurant.

Grotta del Vino
Our ancient wine grotto, carved directly into the volcanic tuff, is a special place that offers a breath-taking view of the sea. Here you can savour high-quality wines from local winemakers and the Campania region by the glass. A selection of cheese, ham, and salami specialties from the island of Ischia and wider Campania are also on the menu.
